That’s because with the help of cameras, you get more depth and all in the show. Then they go get ready and film the scenes.ĭo you recognize any of these sets from the show? As you can see, these sets are smaller than they look in the show. We learned that before the shooting for the day, each of the actors will meet in the set that they will be filming in and do something called blocking where they interact and find out the exact places to stand, how to interact with each other, etc. We then checked out each of the different sets, from a living room, to a bedroom, to a bar/restaurant to the hospital set, you’ll find everything on the General Hospital Set. I’m used to visiting sets that are a single house type set that is changed for different scenes. The set of General Hospital is one that is unlike any other as it is large and has different ‘rooms’ set up for different scenes. Then, they will just toss the scripts down, it was funny to see the piles! Usually the actors will read their lines and study them before filming.

One thing that we were told too, is that there are scripts piled up on the floors and corners under desks on each set. The first set was the courtroom which is an iconic set in General Hospital, so we all decided to get a group shot there, how cool is this. When we walked onto the set, we were led around the area and given a little info about each of the different sets there.
